Soundsculpture with 288 Plastic Bags. The Intonation comes from the wind, the weather and the tempo you pass the installation.

The "Rambla" in Montevideo is the place where the habitants stay and relax. It is about 22 km long and separates el Rio de la Plata from the City. In a part 500 meters there was the Instalation bolsas (Spanish for plastic bag). The bags move in the wind, so you could hear a triptych of sounds: the waves of the river, the crackle of the bags, and also the traffic from the street.

The plastic bags are fixed on 1,50 meter long tubes with an concrete feed on the end. At the bottom of the Rambla on the Place of the Installation are 860 small holes that are normally used for breakwater. I used them to install my bolsas.

The distance of the several bags is in a traditional latin american rhythm. The notation of this rhythm was transferred to the 860 present holes. So you could listen to a "plastic back cumbia" with the rhythm of the architecture of Montevideo.
