Marvin Brendel

Sound performance with prepared vinyls and players. 

A strict composition special made for this constellation. 

Vinyls are prepared with acryl, cuts and concrete. 

 

Preparation separated in three parts. „The rhythm group“ that is mostly prepared with cuts in different intervals; „the noise“ thats made with vinyl and concrete and „the originals“ that are non prepared or just minimal. 

 

They are looped with plastic rings, that are part of the composition. The diameter of the ring depends the rhythm and the speed of each loop. 

 

The players are not routed to one mixer. Every player is individual and has his own amplifier and also his proper speakers.

 

I recorded three compositions at the Tilde Studios in Saarbrücken. 

 

PS: The Name comes from the look my looprings. It looks like the Symbol from Youtube (ore any other Stream) when your Internet is to slow and you see this terrible buffering signal.
