A 141 hour live sound performance with five different Instruments. Written with a 10 meter long score, which includes the sleeping times for the actor. All this in a small container, which was constantly open for visitors. 

 

The sound performance 141 container  took place in 2013 in Völklingen/ Germany. The location was a container former used for construction workers. 

 

The Instruments and how they got used: One guitar and one Bass, both played with e „vibroegg“. In the score was appointed, when they should be played. The longest time they could run constantly was 12 hours, cause the egg works with an AAA battery. One cymbal, played with a drumstick - 141 hits completely. One Keyboard, played with duck tape. The 34  keys got taped one after the other with an organ sound and a handmade extern amplifier. The keyboard was the drone carpet for the whole performance. And finaly one turntable with 4 different prepared and looped LPs. The score  appointed, when and wich LP got used.

 

The time based score was written with indian ink on a 10 meter paper role. It includes also the time for sleeping, what was in the performance maximum 3 hours constantly. The volume was never under 95dB and the maximum was 120dB. 141 container was a border experience that leads me to the limit of my physics and psyche.

 

The whole performance was filmed and recorded with a VHS Recorder, so there exists an unsorted Box with 40 VHS Cassettes and around 141 hour performance.
